I have been an Ian Rankin fan for a while so it was a pilgrimage to the Oxford bar that had to be done when I visited Edinburgh this weekend. This understated pub in a side street off Princes Street was virtually empty when I entered for the obligatory pint. Soaking up the atmosphere!
